FREE LUNCH (b.2022-)
In 2022, Free Lunch was created. It started off as design practice. An initiative to get ideas out of my mind, and just wasting on my hard drive, and into the community. I wanted feedback from my peers and possible consumers.
It was a marketing tool essentially. I would design, handle production, create some marketing and release the item to the people for free.
In 2023, I wanted to expand Free Lunch and keep building on the foundation I already created. I recruited Ryan Ransom (Ransom Supply) and Devin Snyder (Sparrow/Justice), who both have their own respective brands, and we started doing Free Lunch releases together. We also switched the aesthetic and started creating apparel that was centered around Ohio State Football for home games. Same concept. Make it. Produce it. Give it away.
As an interactive feature, we implemented activations to go along with our releases.
Over the years, we’ve been able to do collaborations with Pacsun, Nike, Ohio Against the World, Red Bull and a host of other corporations.
The scale has changed, but the spirit of what makes Free Lunch special remains the same.
