COLUMBUS CREW (b.2024)
This design was one made for a collaborative effort between Free Lunch, the Columbus Crew and Ohio Against The World (OATW). One thing I’ve learned is to lean into things that are recognizable & the consumer is already a fan of, while taking the design to another level by adding additional art or producing the garment in a different way.
Taking the classic Ohio Against the World art and adding Columbus in a tackle twill orientation in the Crew colorway kind’ve gives you the best of both worlds. It makes the tee feel more like a jersey. Everyone loves a jersey. I also used a more breathable tee to complete the “jersey” aesthetic.
